LANSIYA
Lansiya is a beach property, 191 kms down the southern coast
of Sri Lanka. It is an awesome location with a spectacular view
of the ocean and the two bays. The property lies in a corner
of a small bay and a beautiful beach is at its front door. Lansiya
is privately owned and offers fully serviced, laid back luxury
accommodation. The concept at Lansiya is to provide a private
hideaway. There are only private villas and a small village
in that area. The beach is considered crowded, if there are
more than five people on it.
The high season is between December and April. The sea is
gorgeous at this time, and the waves are perfect for boogy
boarding. The rest of the time, the sea is a bit rough but
swimmable in the shallows. The weather is usually sunny and
hot all year round. In October and November there are intermittent
showers, but it is still warm and sunny in between. Lansiya
consists of one master suite / house and is ideal for one
couple. The suite is situated on a hill beside the ocean.
It has the most awesome view and the sound of the sea is everywhere.
The suite is surrounded by verandahs all around for sunbathing,
eating and hanging out. Under the bedroom is a massage and
meditation area.
At Lansiya, the early morning is spent walking / running
and exercising on the beach. The sea is calmest at this time
and good for a swim. Mid morning is the time for massage and
reading. At high noon, the waves are up and it is boogy boarding
time. The afternoon is for napping and the sunset is for everything.
Good food is a focus. The ambience could be described as casual
which is totally informal and laid back.
