Day 01 | Airport > Negombo
Arrive at Colombo International Airport. Thereafter proceed to Negombo and check into the hotel in Negombo.
Day 02 | Negombo > Pinnawala > Dambulla > Sigiriya ( B )
After the breakfast at the hotel check out and proceed to Sigiriya en-route make a pause at Pinnawala and visit the Elephant Orphanage. Thereafter proceed to Dambulla and visit the Cave Temple. On completion proceed to Sigiriya check into the hotel and relax.
Day 03 | Sigiriya > Polonnaruwa > Minneriya > Sigiriya ( B )
After the breakfast at the hotel visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Thereafter proceed to Priyamali Gedara and participate in a Cooking Demonstration. Later on, proceed to Polonnaruwa and visit the Ancient Kingdom. On completion return back to the hotel and relax.
Day 04 | Sigiriya > Matale > Kandy ( B )
After the breakfast in Sigirya proceed to Kandy, en route make a pause at Matale and visit a Spice Garden. Thereafter continue to Kandy and check into the hotel. Towards the evening go on a technical tour and watch the Kandyan Cultural Show in the evening. On completion return to the hotel.
Day 05 | Kandy > Nuwara Eliya ( B )
After the breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Nuwara Eliya, en-route make a stop at the Ramboda Falls and visit a Tea factory. Thereafter continue to Nuwara Eliya and check into the hotel. Later visit a Strawberry farm and do a guided tour. On completion return to the hotel and relax.
Day 06 | Nuwara Eliya > Hortan Plains > Nuwara Eliya ( B )
With a packed breakfast go on a hike in the plains of Horton. On completion return back to the hotel and relax.
Day 07 | Nuwara Eliya > Ella ( B )
After the breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Ella. Thereafter visit a Tea factory and check into the hotel in Ella.
Day 08 | Ella > Yala ( B )
After the breakfast at the hotel check out and proceed to Yala, en-route make a stop at Ella and explore the city. Thereafter continue to Yala, and check into the hotel in Yala.
Day 09 | Yala > Kataragama > Yala ( B )
Early in the morning go on a jeep safari in the Yala National Park. Later in the evening visit the Kataragama Temple. On completion return back to the hotel in Yala.
Day 10 | Yala > Ahangama > Galle ( B / L )
After the breakfast at the hotel check out and go on an educational tour to know how to make buffalo curd. Thereafter proceed to Ahangama and have an authentic Sri Lankan Sea Fish Lunch at Garton’s Cape hotel. Later on, proceed to Galle and check into the hotel. Towards the evening go and visit the Colonial City. On completion return to the hotel.
Day 11 | Galle > Balapitiya > Colombo ( B )
After the breakfast at the hotel check out and proceed to Balapitiya and go on a Boat Safari in the Madu River. Thereafter check out from the hotel and proceed to Colombo and check in to the hotel in Colombo. Later in the evening go on a walk in Galle Face Green and taste Sri Lankan Street Food. On completion return to the hotel.
Day 12 | Colombo > Airport ( B )
After the breakfast at the hotel check out and proceed to the airport.
Enjoy the sun on the sandy beaches of Negombo on the Western Coast of Sri Lanka. Watch the flourishing fish industry, which is a centuries-old tradition. Ride an adrenaline high with some fun water sports. Enjoy the corals and underwater life while diving. See the 50 year-old ship-wreck just off the coast, where many varieties of fish make their home.
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is the home for young Elephants who have been displaced or lost from their natural habitat, located at Pinnawala village in Sabaragamuwa province of Sri Lanka. Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage is the best place for an up close and personal experience with the world’s largest land mammals! Today with 70 elephants herein, Pinnawela has become the home to the largest captive group of elephants in the world.
Dambulla Cave Temple
Enter the historic caves of the Golden Temple of Dambulla, dating back to the 1st century BC. View the ancient murals depicting the life story of Lord Gautama Buddha. Look at the hundreds of figurines of Buddha and other deities scattered throughout the five main caves. Visit the Cave of the Divine King, Cave of the Great King and the Great New Monastery. See the giant golden Buddha Statue just a little distance outside the cave complex.
Sigiriya Rock Fortress
Climb the 5th century AD rock fortress, Sigiriya, where the King Kasyapa ruled. Walk through the entrance framed by the paws of a lion that is quite appropriate for its name, ‘ the Lion Rock’. Priyamali Gedara Cooking Demonstration
This experience provides an authentic farm lunch and cooking demo done by an actual local farming family. Learn the ins and outs of Sri Lankan cooking as the farmer’s wife and daughters demonstrate their art. Chat with the farmer to learn more about how the fresh ingredients are obtained from the surroundings. Indulge in a healthy farm meal cooked over wood fires and served on lotus leaves over woven trays. Traditional rice, lentils, fresh local vegetables cooked into fragrant curries, fried fish, and poppadum will play a major role in the meals.
