06 Nights 07 Days – Option 02

How wonderful it must be to spend a week among diverse locations with features of several continents within one destination. Experience culture, heritages, nature, wildlife and adventure. Visit the historic sites of Polonnaruwa and Kandy enriched with culture and heritage, and go on safaris in  the adventurous wilderness of Minneriya. Walk among the authentic scents of the spices in Matale. Feel the warmth of the sun as it falls upon your skin in the southern coasts of Bentota.

Day 01 | Airport > Dambulla 

Arrive at Colombo International Airport and proceed to Dambulla, en-route visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala. Visit the historic caves of the Golden Temple of Dambulla. On completion proceed to Dambulla and check into the hotel.

Day 02 | Dambulla > Polonnaruwa > Minneriya > Dambulla ( B )

After the breakfast in Dambulla proceed to Polonnaruwa and visit the Ancient Kingdom. Thereafter proceed to the Minneriya National Park. On completion return back to the hotel.

Day 03 | Dambulla > Matale > Kandy ( B )

After the breakfast in Dambulla visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Thereafter check out from the hotel and proceed to Kandy, en route make a pause at Matale and visit a Spice Garden. Thereafter proceed to Kandy and check into the hotel. Go on a technical tour and watch the Kandyan Cultural Show in the evening. On completion return to the hotel.

Day 04 | Kandy > Peradeniya > Kandy ( B )

After the breakfast at the hotel go on a temple run tour in Kandy. Thereafter proceed to Peradeniya and visit the Royal Botanical Garden. On completion return back to the hotel.

Day 05 | Kandy > Bentota ( B )

After the breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Bentota and visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery. Thereafter proceed to the hotel in Bentota, check in and relax. Towards the evening go on a walk down the beach in Bentota. On completion return to the hotel and relax.

Day 06 | Bentota > Bentota ( B )

After the breakfast in Bentota go on a Boat safari in the Madu River and visit the Ancient Colonial City of Galle and return to Bentota.

Day 07 | Bentota > Airport ( B )

After the breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to the airport.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is the home for young Elephants who have been displaced or lost from their natural habitat, located at Pinnawala village in Sabaragam uwa province of Sri Lanka. Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage is the best place for an up close and personal experience with the world’s largest land mammals! Today with 70 elephants herein, Pinnawela has become the home to the largest captive group of elephants in the world.

Dambulla Cave Temple

Enter the historic caves of the Golden Temple of Dambulla, dating back to the 1st century BC. View the ancient murals depicting the life story of Lord Gautama Buddha. Look at the hundreds of figurines of Buddha and other deities scattered throughout the five main caves. Visit the Cave of the Divine King, Cave of the Great King and the Great New Monastery. See the giant golden Buddha Statue just a little distance outside the cave complex.

Polonnaruwa

Visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, which was the second major capital of Sri Lanka. Walk through the ruins of the city that flourished between the 10th to the 13th century AD. View important monuments such as Gal Vihara, Vatadage, the lotus bath, Lankathilaka Temple and the statue of King Parakramabahu whose reign was considered the golden age of Polonnaruwa. Get to know more about Sri Lanka’s ancient history.

Minneriya Safari

This safari takes you on a ride through the Minneriya National Park. Enjoy the sight of over 150 elephants congregating in one place during the famous Great Elephant Gathering, which happens in the dry season between May to October. In addition to elephants, get a chance to also see many mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians in the scrublands, forests and other areas.

Sigiriya Rock Fortress

Climb the 5th century AD rock fortress, Sigiriya, where the King Kasyapa ruled. Walk through the entrance framed by the paws of a lion that is quite appropriate for its name, ‘ the Lion Rock’. View the beautiful unfading murals that brought Sigiriya its fame. Climb the steep staircase to see the terraced gardens and still-working cisterns. Walk through the tunnels leading to the palace as you get a feel for times long past.

Matale Spice Gardens

Euphoria Spice and Herbal is located 12 km away from Matale (The spice capital of Sri Lanka). Enriched with herbs, spice groves and plants with fragrant greenery shading from the tropical trees that enlightens the unique aroma of each spice and herb. We give the opportunity for our visitors to explore and gain knowledge on Sri Lankan spices, herbs and the benefits of Ayurveda. The tropical climate in which our plants and herbs are grown helps them preserve its ancient originality. The educational tour around the garden, which we call “The Spice Tour”, let the visitors feel the sensation of the Sri Lankan spices and herbs which is demonstrated in different foreign languages to suit our customer need.

Technical Tours

Go on technical tours related to arts such as gem crafting, woodcarving and batiks. Watch the Kandyan Cultural Show with its colorful traditional dances and delightful music.

Cultural Show

The Kandy Cultural Show gives an opportunity to experience some of the traditions of Sri Lanka. Enjoy this hour long extravaganza as some of the most popular art forms of the island take to the stage. Get wowed by fire dancers and sword dancers. Watch the colorful Kandyan dancers take to the air to the thrumming primal beat of the drums.

Kandy Temple Run Tour

Get amazed by the wood crafting masterpiece that is the Embekke Temple. Wander through the historic and beautiful Gadaladeniya Temple and view its wonderful paintings and sculptures. Visit the Lankatilaka temple that was quite architecturally advanced for its time. See awe-striking sight of the Degaldoruwa Cave Temple, the inside walls of which are covered in painstakingly restored paintings. Visit the internationally famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic with its palatial cream and gold interiors.

Royal Botanical Gardens

Visit the famous Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya, which were formed in the early 19th century. Walk through the vast area containing over 4000 species of plants. Enjoy the learning more about the orchids, spices and medicinal plants. Wander down avenues shaded by large and rare trees, or bordered by flowering plants. Enjoy seeing the cannonball tree, walking over the wobbly suspension bridge and through the short hedge mazes or even climbing the twisty trees that make wonderful jungle gyms.

Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery

Visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery on the Southwestern coast of Sri Lanka. Learn more about the five endangered sea turtle species that come to the shores of Sri Lanka to nest. Learn how the Kosgoda Turtle Care Program helps protect the nests until they hatch and increases the chances of survival for the babies. Get a chance to see, touch and feed baby turtles; or even injured adult turtles that the Turtle Hatchery cares for.

Bentota

Walk down one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka; embraced by the warmth of the sun, the softness of the sand and the cool sea breeze. Feel the romance of the beautiful ocean at sunset. Relax in one of the luxury hotels that cluster on the beach. Watch the turtles come to nest from the sea. Enjoy the adrenaline rush of water sports such as jet-skiing, windsurfing and more.

Madu River

Galle Fort Guided Walking Tour

Day 03 | Colombo > Kosgoda > Balapitiya > Galle > Colombo

After breakfast in Colombo, visit Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, go on a Boat Safari in Madu River, and visit the Colonial City of Galle and return back to Colombo.

Day 04 | Colombo > BIA

After breakfast, explore the Colombo City and finally proceed to the Airport for the Departure.

Dambulla & Sigiriya

Experience Sri Lanka’s culture by exploring some of its prominent UNESCO world heritage sights such as the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the Dambulla Cave Temple, the Ancient Kingdom of Polonnaruwa and even go on a Safari through the one of the 3 national parks to see the majestic Asian Elephants in action.

Matale & Kandy

Walk through a spice garden learning about Sri Lanka’s renowned spices and visit the infamous Temple of the Tooth Relic relishing the religious history of Sri Lanka. Remember to take note of the Colonial architecture that still prevails in Kandy.

Nuwara Eliya & Ella

Enjoy the cool weather wandering through the green tea fields, learning how the famous Ceylon Tea comes to life. Visit the gorgeous water falls and gardens and finally take the most scenic train ride to Ella. Trek through Little Adam’s Peak and also visit the nine arch bridge.

Yala

Go on a daunting full day game drive in the Yala National Park. Seek the illusive Sri Lankan Leopard and if you are lucky, witness the wildlife in action, finding its days’ catch and running from being the pray.

Galle

Walk through the streets of Galle a World Heritage Sight that is rich with British & Dutch History.
